Prof. Dato’ Dr. Jasvinder Singh A/L Gurbakhes Singh

Professor Dato’ Dr. JasG is a Malaysian hair restoration surgeon and medical aesthetic practitioner with more than 30 years of clinical experience in hair restoration, facial aesthetics, regenerative medicine and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures. He is the Founder and Medical Director of GLOJAS Specialist Clinic in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

He also holds a leadership role within the Malaysian Hair Restoration Society, contributing to the advancement of professional education, ethical practice, clinical standards and physician development in hair restoration medicine across Malaysia.

Internationally, Professor Dato’ Dr. JasG is recognised as a Pioneer Fellow of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and a Pioneer Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. These professional distinctions reflect his involvement in internationally recognised hair restoration education, competency standards and clinical practice.

He also holds a Diplomate qualification in Aesthetic Medicine and is credentialed under the Ministry of Health Malaysia Letter of Credentialing and Privileging framework for medically governed aesthetic procedures.

Professor Dato’ Dr. JasG developed the SMART™ Hair Transplant system, which brings together Follicular Unit Extraction, Follicular Unit Transplantation and Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy within an individualised hair restoration workflow.

His clinical interests include advanced hairline reconstruction, donor-area management, graft-density planning and the treatment of male pattern hair loss, female pattern hair loss and traction alopecia. Treatment planning considers natural hair angulation, donor availability, scalp characteristics and the expected long-term progression of hair loss.

He also performs corrective and reconstructive hair restoration procedures for patients with scalp scarring, post-traumatic hair loss or unsatisfactory outcomes from previous procedures. His surgical approach places strong emphasis on careful graft handling, follicle preservation and minimising trauma during extraction and implantation.

Clinical assessment may include trichoscopic scalp examination, digital follicle imaging, donor-density mapping and recognised hair-loss classification systems such as the Norwood-Hamilton classification and Ludwig scale. These assessments support individualised diagnosis, long-term planning and realistic treatment recommendations.
